In the golden month of September, production at 3611 workshops has entered a sprint phase. New product trial manufacturing and mass production are advanced in parallel and in sequence. Two major tasks — the new UAV exhibition wing project and bulk orders for foreign-trade vehicle frames — have encountered practical challenges. Welding of large-size aluminum profiles is prone to deformation, and precision control of workpieces poses great difficulty. Conventional processes can no longer meet product quality standards, constituting a critical bottleneck hindering production and operation schedules.

Faced with numerous hardships, the company’s core staff voluntarily took on the tough tasks. A special research team was set up and stationed on the production site to carry out technical evaluation, testing and commissioning. Meanwhile, staffing and equipment schedules were optimized, the workflow of each working procedure streamlined, and job responsibilities fully implemented. All staff united to race against time and guarantee output, forming a vigorous tackling momentum of achieving breakthroughs through pragmatic efforts. The UAV wing deployment project adopts the double-sided welding process for large-size aluminum profiles. Welding deformation of ultra-long profiles is hard to control. Led by technical specialist Yang Zhiyong, the team continuously monitored plate deformation data, conducted multiple rounds of test comparisons and parameter adjustments, and determined the optimal anti-deformation welding solution. With all-round positioning of plates and precise welding by presetting deformation angles at the bottom, the welding angular error is stably controlled within 1–2 degrees. The new product quality standards have been successfully met to ensure the new product progresses as scheduled.

To address welding deformation issues in the mass production of foreign-trade vehicle frames, technical specialist Wang Ping organized special seminars to dig deep into the root causes of deformation. The team independently designed and manufactured four sets of dedicated welding jigs and fixtures. Relying on limit positioning by the jigs, plate deformation is reduced from the source. Intermediate inspection points were added during welding to verify critical dimensions in real time and move the quality control gateway forward. This effectively cuts the rework rate, improves the qualification rate and production stability in mass production, and strongly supports the fulfillment of foreign trade orders.

Pragmatism as the Priority: Full Sprint toward Annual Business Targets

Overcome obstacles to boost business and forge ahead practically to hit targets. Going forward, the Emergency Industry and its subsidiaries will maintain the momentum of tackling tough challenges, deepen process innovation, refine full-process production control, continuously improve manufacturing capacity and product competitiveness, race toward the annual production and operation goals, and drive high-quality development of the enterprise.
